Easy ways to improve your car

Car geeks always brag about their latest additions or the latest changes they made to their babies. I think that every person who is passionate about cars has all kinds of ideas on how to improve it. Some of those ideas are reasonable, but some of them are just taken out of science fiction movies.

Some of those changes can only be handled by mechanics, but some of them are quite simple and easy to handle. So here are some car improvements you may not have thought about just yet.

The first thing everyone who is passionate about car and car improvements is definitely the sound system. Well, the thing with this sound system in new cars, or in relatively new cars is that it is very heavily integrated into the master ECU. It is very complicated to change anything about it, let alone improve it without messing anything up. Even the most electronically inclined persons might have a hard time getting around all those wires and connections.

I actually had a friend who thought he could handle it and ended up taking his car to a service, because after all the work he had put into improving the sound system, he was left with an incredibly annoying buzzing noise in the speakers. So changing the whole sound system is a bad idea, but this doesn’t mean that you can’t change the speakers. In order to get better sounding music, you can change the factory speakers. This is quite an easy task and it won’t even take a lot of time. However, you will get better music, without a doubt.

When it comes to body work, most car enthusiasts would rather let professionals handle any type of improvement. However, there are some things that you can change yourself. You might need a friend to help you out with the heavier things, but you can definitely handle it. You can tackle pretty much anything from fenders to hoods. The one thing I wouldn’t recommend when it comes to body work is to try and fix dents, because newbies can often make things worse. So as long as you stick to small, manageable things, you should be more than fine and you will do a great job for sure.

Now, if you want a bit more power, you can always try to swap or change the engine of your car. I know it may sound like a lot, but it’s really not that of a big deal. You will need some hands on deck and a couple of man hours, but an engine swap is really nowhere near as complicated as it sounds.  There are dozens of kits you can buy especially for this task, so why not go for it? Just keep in mind to screw everything together and to double check everything!…
